On August 11, the day Gustavo Cerati would have turned 64, Slovak singer-songwriter Vanda Krai paid tribute to him by presenting an exciting, fresh and danceable version of his song “Nací Para Esto.” This new electro version, produced by the Santa Fe duo Badú Pop, features the outstanding participation of Fernando Nalé, who was the bassist on the original recording. Gustavo Cerati was a phenomenon who inspired, with his music and unique poetry, several generations in many countries around the world. This was also the case for Vanda, who opted for this track from “Siempre es hoy” (2002), her favorite album from Cerati’s extensive discography. Perhaps because it was the first one she bought when she visited Argentina for the first time more than 20 years ago. Now, this country adopted her and became her home.
